Claims Executive
to join our growing organisation and provide expert guidance, technical insight and trusted advice to shipowners and brokers. In this full-time role, you will manage and coordinate complex claims matters for a customer base that is primarily, though not exclusively, active within the Nordic region.
The role involves managing a variety of hull and machinery, and loss of hire related lead claims, including machinery breakdowns, salvage operations, collisions, and groundings.
Alandia delivers swift and relevant first-class claims service experience to our customers. Maintaining our customer relationships is essential, alongside the capability to proactively manage claims, provide technical assistance both internally and externally as well as collaborate efficiently within a team to also offer trainings and presentations.
The successful candidate will work in close cooperation with the underwriting and loss prevention departments and will be supported by dedicated and knowledgeable colleagues. Key Responsibilities
Manage lead hull & machinery and loss of hire claims.
Appoint and supervise surveyors, lawyers, and other third-party service providers.
Analyze and review survey reports and other relevant documents.
Assist and advise assureds on repair options.
Maintain extensive contact with assureds and brokers.
Advise assureds and brokers on all aspects of marine hull and loss of hire
claims.Participate in the department's on-call service and respond to urgent marine claims matters.
Work collaboratively with our underwriters and loss prevention department and participate in related exercises and seminars.
Candidate Profile:
A background in nautical or marine engineering with seafaring experience is preferred.
Prior experience in handling marine claims is required.
Having a practical, solution-oriented approach is key to succeeding in this role.
Proficiency in English and a Nordic language, both in writing and speaking, is essential.
A strong motivation to learn and share knowledge.
Understands the importance of building and maintaining strong professional relationships and has the skills to achieve this.

Employment Type: Permanent full-time position, with an initial six-month probationary period.
