Alandia’s Loss Prevention department works closely and transparently with our customers to assist them in managing risks, minimising their potential liabilities, and helping them to maintain a sustainable business.

Advising on professional safety and operational cultures that helps companies succeed is part of our most essential loss prevention activities. We foster solid knowledge of human factors, global shipping, vessel operation, ship management and marine insurance. In addition, we produce marine operation instructions and checklists that will help promote and implement a professional safety culture.

We also provide training tools for seminars and workshops that promote professional safety in marine operations. We wish to assist our customers in recognising which elements are required to make an operation safe. We believe that digital solutions combined with statistical analysis are central methods of gathering information about such elements, and that this in turn makes our customers able to plan and proactively prevent and limit future losses. We actively develop, in close co-operation with our customers, digital tools and solutions to enable data-based decision making and information sharing. Loss prevention works across the entire organisation and is actively involved in Alandia’s marketing efforts.
